Day One

It's been an interesting day to say the least.  A really big day for me because it was my first day as the Customer Care Coordinator where I work.  I don't know if I've ever been promoted before...and this was kind of like a promotion...of sorts.  I think that was the best part of my day.  The worst part of my day was seeing my worship leader in drag....a dress,  a wig...and some earrings.  I know it was for a play and everything, but Sunday morning worship just won't quite be the same anymore.  (He did make me laugh 'till I cried, points.)

Dieting actually wasn't too bad.  Now that I've learned that there are a zillion carbs in everything, I am finding that my adjustment won't be easy but it will be doable.

Tonight, Friend and I had salmon.
It was a fresh, seasoned with "salmon rub" and cooked in the skillet with olive oil.  Delicious.  We added to that a healthy serving of broccoli and cheese and were both completely full when we left the table.

Today's exercise was a three mile walk around town with my dog.  The weather was simply beautiful, and Charles and I really enjoyed it.

Friend took this picture of me after the walk so my hair may be a bit askew.
Day One 153lbs
Finished off the night with a delicious low-carb ice cream bar.  Ah yes, as long as there's ice cream in my life, I'm a happy happy girl. :)

  1. I just happened upon your blog which I have to say is a coincidence, I am at 152lbs and trying to get down to at least 125. It looks like we have some similar goals, I'll be looking foward to your posts!

  2. Like Ace above me, our goals are very similar! I am 148 right now and am trying to get "high school skinny" again at 120! I am so excited happy I came upon your blog. Good luck!

  3. Ashley, you are so beautiful! You have a dog? I like to read your blog. Especially in the early morning, when I really need to get out of bed for work, but don't feel like getting out of my nest yet. Your blog offers the perfect excuse to stay in bed a little longer, a great diversion. ;-)

  4. Thanks everyone! I'm excited to see what happens a cliff-hanger in my own story. :)
